Hi, I am Mia

A few years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Relocating to Canada wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday chores felt more convoluted than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning were part of it. Yet, gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Iris Horizon Pebble
Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical tips drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:

- Just a generic travel blog
